Alpha Five Presenter's Outline
Here is the latest, as of Nov. 5th:
On the 4th, Alpha invited some key users to participate in a conference to discuss User Group presentations, and what we could do to provide assistance to anyone wanting to give a presentation. We heard a lot of great ideas, and are moving forward. Our intent is to develop a package that any user could take with them to a presentation. This package would include a "slide show" that could be shown to the user group (it would be a stand-alone program on a CD), along with an outline to help guide the presenter through a reasonably polished presentation.
We have also discussed making this slide show a stand-alone package, so any presenter that was uncomfortable with talking in front of a group could let the presentation do the talking for them. For more experienced presenters, the slide show could be used without the audio, so they could embellish as they wanted. This could also be followed by a specific demonstration, predicated by the questions asked.
We will be taking suggestions for this presentation package for the next week or so, and then take the best ideas to implement it. We should have something ready for the Alpha community by the end of the month.
